Literature Response Entry #1

This literature response entry is based on the story "A Day's Wait" by Ernest Hemingway in your Discovering Fiction textbook.

On this blog, post a one paragraph response (5-10 sentences) to ONE of questions below [from page 14 of your textbook]:

1. Pretend you are the boy Schatz in the story. Write a paragraph about what is going on in your mind as you lie in bed thinking about your illness. Use the present tense.

2. Describe a fear of death you may have had as a child. Were you ever injured or in a hospital when you were young? Use the past tense.

3. Describe how you felt after reading the story. How did you relate to the boy and the father? Write about these feelings. Use the past tense.
